Market Opportunity and Industry Position

DroneShield operates in a rapidly growing counter drone sector across both military and civilian use. The total addressable market is estimated to be over $60 billion. Civil demand is above $28 billion with governments and public agencies working to improve safety and regulation. New laws and rising threats are pushing faster adoption.Β

The company stands out as the only pure play counter drone business listed on a public exchange. It focuses on cost effective and AI driven solutions which adapt quickly to changing risks. Global tensions and security concerns are also driving spending as countries aim to strengthen their own defence capabilities.

Pipeline Strength

The sales pipeline stands at $2.2 billion across 312 projects which gives visibility for future growth. There was a slight drop from February 2026 mainly due to completed deals and scope changes though currency movement added some value.Β

DroneShield offers a wide range of solutions that work together as a complete system. Its DroneSentry platform is already deployed in over 200 locations worldwide. This system provides long range monitoring and real time alerts along with analytics through its software.Β

The company plans to launch new hardware and software from Q3 2026 to expand its offering. These solutions form part of a layered defence approach where its command platform acts as the central control point for users.

Strategic Priorities and Production Expansion

From 2026 to 2027 the company plans to release next generation products grow software revenue and expand into new regions including Europe and the United States. It will also target more civilian customers and improve internal systems to handle scale. Between 2028 and 2029 the focus will shift towards system level sales and wider use of AI across all products.
Β
The long term goal beyond 2030 is to reach $1 billion in annual revenue supported by strong software income and repeat hardware upgrades.Β

To support this growth DroneShield is increasing manufacturing capacity with a new 3000 square metre facility in Sydney and expanded research space. Production partnerships in Europe began in March 2026 while US assembly is expected in the second half of 2026.
